About The Client

DanceNGroove DJ Services is an event planning and entertainment company based in San Diego, CA. They provide DJ Services for weddings, school events, corporate functions, fundraisers, birthday parties and more.

Project Scope

We completed DanceNGroove DJs first site back in 2010 when they first opened their doors. Over the past few years they have grown and their needs changed. Their first site was in WordPress with a theme that we custom built. They wanted something more flexible and expandable, with enhanced SEO features and a new design to match their evolved identity. Their first site also made heavy use of stock imagery, since they were just starting out, and wanted the new site to showcase not only what they do, but also what they have done.

The new site includes a customized child theme for the Genesis framework for WordPress. The site is primarily informational, showcasing their portfolio and services They also needed integration with a variety of third party tools, such as DJ Intelligence booking and even planning functionality and Wedding Wire’s widgets and wedding planning system. The site also integrates Constant Contact signups using a custom signup form that matches the website.

The home page is widgetized, making it very easy for DanceNGroove to update the content with the ease of a drag and drop functionality. They now have a portfolio to showcase their past events, which rotates selected events through the slider on the new home page. The Genesis framework also provides a foundation of optimal organic SEO to work from. We are working with DanceNGroove on an ongoing basis to help rewrite their copy, optimize their social media presence and maintain the site moving forward.
